JEFF KOZOL BIO

Jeff began playing the drums at the age of 9. He began learning from his father, who had been playing jazz since the 1940's. Jeff studied with Ken Vogel (Philadelphia drummer and noted author) while in junior high and learned multiple styles of drum set. He then studied with Tom Aungst (Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps), while in college.

In 2005, Jeff began, and continues to study with noted author and clinician, Dom Famularo and David Uosikkinen of The Hooters. Jeff is well known as one of the leading percussion instructors for hand cymbals. He has won two High Percussion titles in DCA including a perfect score with the Harrison Bushwackers.

Jeff has had the honor of marching with one of the legendary DCI percussion sections, the Cadets of Bergen County. He has performed with the Royal Brass Orchestra, Simon Kirke (Bad Company) and The Bosom Band. Besides recording and performing live, Jeff is available for clinics and Skype drum lessons.
